Center for Health and Economic Development
Sustainable development and universal health coverage (UHC) has been a hot topic in global discussion recently. Resilient and sustainable development that meets the present needs is indispensable requirement in developing countries. Vastly growing population in Asia is a huge challenge to gain equitable economic growth and to improve standard of living in the region. At the same time, double burden of disease coupled with needs of structural transformation further fuels it.
Health and economic developments are prerequisites for the well-being of individuals and societies as a whole. The mission of the establishment of the Center for Health and Economic Development (CHED) is to function as a think-tank and research center for health and economic policy.
